NER MAIL ORDER IST KAPUT!
After over 25 years I've decided to close NER Mail Order.
The advent of the internet and the flourishing of online stores that deal more comprehensively with selling the Death In June and associated catalogue has made this once very important venture now redundant.
The fact that Death In June releases are now issued from anywhere except England is also a contributing factor. It makes no financial or logical sense to send stock of titles to England (or Australia!) only to be sent on elsewhere in the World when people can easily order direct from the original source in America, Portugal, Belgium etc.
The establishment of the NER mail order service in the 1980s was fundamental to the establishment of Death In June itself. It provided a much needed service to a hungry and very enthusiastic and interested audience that wasn't really being catered for. But, gone are the days when I would be crawling into bed at 2 - 3 in the morning after having first cleared it of the overflow of orders waiting to be packed and taken in their sackloads to the local Post Office the next day. In fact, I haven't personally dealt with the bulk of it since 1997. 13 years on it's time to put the final nail in its coffin.
I'd now like to thank and say "Heilige!" to all those who have helped with and run NER Mail Order over these long years: JRP, Jack Collyer, D. Roehm, Keith Hinton, Peter Winkworth, John Ralston, Peter Lane and, of course, Ian Read.
The BM June address in London remains the main business address to send letters, gifts, birthday cards, death threats etc to.
The future of the much loved promotional postcards is still being thought about and if one is sent out for the forthcoming Death In June - PEACEFUL SNOW album it will possibly be the last one.

Death In June's "Occidental Martyr" was originally released in 1995. It features screen actor Max Wearing reading lyrics to Death In June songs over a soundtrack recorded by Douglas P. specially for the album. Max Wearing appeared in Peter Weir's "Gallipoli" (1981), and Richard Wolstencroft's"Pearls Before Swine" (1999).
This picture disc edition is limited to 500 copies, and includes two postcards.

"Burial" is a half studio, half live album originally released in 1984 on Leprosy Discs. It was the last recording to feature the original Death In June lineup, as Tony Wakeford departed the group shortly thereafter.
Now issued for the first time as a picture disc, in an edition of 500 copies.
Includes bonus 7 inch picture disc with re-recorded versions of "Death Of The West" and "Heaven Street".

MUS41 CRISIS - Hymns of Faith MLP
'Hymns Of Faith' by Crisis is finally re-released after some thirty years and yet it seems like only yesterday that I bought it upon its release. For thirty years, I have championed Crisis, like some kind of leper in the musical wilderness. I still cannot believe that La Vida Es Un Mus finally heard me. Very few records deserve the tag of classic, but 'Hymns Of Faith' is a classic record! Recorded by a band that was in the throes of death, this mini-LP features seven tracks of political punk (although some would describe it as post punk, an insult of the worst kind), covering the political spectrum from the Italian Red Brigades to the Kanada Kommando of Auschwitz. The LP may have lacked the bite of the earlier singles, but 'Hymns' was innovative and original, and has never been bettered, yet alone equalled. Forget 'Killed By Death', this my friends is the real deal! After Crisis, Douglas P and Tony Wakeford formed Death In June and Luke Rendall joined Theatre Of Hate. Kneel and bow in reverence to 'Hymns Of Faith'!

The official biography of Death In June (written only in Italian for the moment) is now out!
It's 420 pages long, has 32 full colour pages of photographs, many of which contain never before seen photos from my personal collection, has 3 chapters dedicated to my formative years in England and CRISIS as well as large extracts from an extensive interview conducted on and off over 9 years with Italian journalist Aldo Chimenti.
Also with the book is an exclusive audio CD of a separate interview conducted in English featuring 8 songs from the Death In June canon of work plus radio jingles/adverts for concerts and releases.
This CD will not be available elsewhere separately, or with any other possible future version of this book.
So, even if you can't understand Italian there are plenty of pictures and sounds that should be of interest!

This very special soapstone and lazer-engraved granite release assembles onto one CD the best of 1992's “But, What Ends When The Symbols Shatter?” and 1995's “Rose Clouds Of Holocaust” albums plus two rare single tracks from the same period, generally considered one of the high points in Death In June's career.
It also includes a second CD featuring re-recorded, stripped-back acoustic “Totenpop” versions of 15 of these classics, recorded shortly after the final tour in June 2005 and mixed and produced in December 2008.

DEATH IN JUNE - Some of Our Best Friends Live in South America/Sons Of Europe (Slaughtered) 7"
Extremocidente proudly announces the release in vinyl format of the mythical track "Some of Our Best Friends Live in South America" the earliest version of Black Radio, released in 1983 in the "New Horizons" tape compilation.
As a b-side track the remixed version of "Sons of Europe" under the name "Sons of Europe (Slaughtered)".
Both tracks are previously unreleased in vinyl format and until the re-issue in cd format of the "Lesson One: Misanthropy" compilation both were practically unheard of.
The 7" comes housed in a grey reverse board sleeve emulating the original issue of "L1:M" including the embossing and a new photo of the same session.
This record is pressed in yellow vinyl and limited to 600 units ONLY and includes a postcard and two stickers along with the insert with lyrics and info.
The first 113 units are autographed by Douglas P. and Tony Wakeford. This autographed edition is now sold out at source in Portugal.

'Black Angel - Live' recorded in Australia 24th May, 2000 was one of the first of the intense stripped-back acoustic performances featuring Douglas P. and percussionist John Murphy that characterized Death In June's live work in this new Century.
This limited edition Picture Disc LP, with a different full colour picture on each side, is coupled with a bonus 4 track CD recorded at an impromptu performance 2 years later on 26th June, 2002, at The Laundry, Melbourne, Australia featuring a rare solo performance by Douglas P. on 6 string electric guitar with unreleased live versions of tracks from the then recently-issued 'All Pigs Must Die' album.
Exciting and direct, the songs on both the Picture Disc and CD can be regarded as a 'best of' Death In June live experience up to that point in time.

This compilation of DEATH IN JUNE material from 1981-84 was previously only available on vinyl LP released in 1986 and is now reissued for the first time on CD. It's purpose is to tidy history and features tracks from the very beginning to the very end of the original line-up's recordings.
The CD will come in a grey/black ultra-coated debossed 'Repak' of completely recycled paper and will also include the very rare version of 'Black Radio' known as 'Some Of Our Best Friends Live In South America' previously issued on the 'New Horizons' cassette-only compilation released in 1983, plus a recently discovered unissued longer version of 'Sons Of Europe' taken from the 'Burial' album sessions.
The first 2,000 copies of this limited edition not only include an exclusive embroidered patch (the III 6 logo in light grey/black) but also features a DVD, available in both PAL and NTSC formats, of the 'Reunion' performance of the 3 original DEATH IN JUNE members Patrick Leagas, Tony Wakeford and Douglas P. which took place as an encore to the DEATH IN JUNE performance at The Underworld in London on 6.XI.98. Originally released in 1996 as Scorpion Wind's 'Heaven Sent' CD/LP this album has long since been considered the 'lost' classic collaboration between Death In June's Neo-Folk pioneer Douglas P. and Industrial Music's renegade innovator Boyd Rice.
Recorded in Australia prior to the pair starring in the cult film 'Pearls Before Swine' it is a unique, melodic and richly orchestrated ode to modern living, modern loving - and modern hating.
Joined by percussionist John Murphy (ex- SPK, The Associates, current 93) for the first of what was to prove many collaborations between the 'Unregistered 3' and young Australian group Strength Through Joy (now Ostara) these recordings proved to be the perfect follow up to 1990's ground breaking Boyd Rice & Friends album 'Music, Martinis & Misanthopy'. However, due to legal problems with distribution, few were to hear this.
Now for the first time in nearly 10 years a digitally remastered CD is available including 2 extra tracks from the era and stunning new artwork, presented in a red and black foil-blocked 'Softpak'.

DEATH IN JUNE - 'The Phoenix Has Risen'
These recently discovered recordings were unknown to members of the group
until 2005. They feature a rehearsal recording in 1981 of 9 songs, some of
which were never named or released. These are coupled with 8 live songs from
the seminal performance at Alan McGee's 'The Living Room' club in London, 9th September 1983. That fateful evening Mr. McGee introduced Douglas P. to Tibet 93.
Musical history was never to be the same again.
The CD comes in a black/silver foil-blocked gatefold 'softpak' with also a 24cm x 24cm double-sided poster.
