Finally NER Mail-Order has received its copies of this release, the first album from Death In June 'The Guilty Have No Pride' which was originally issued in 1983. Not only is it now released with tracks from the first 12" single issued in 1981 and the first 7" single issued in 1982 it is also coupled with a DVD of one of DIJ's first ever performances at The Fridge in Brixton, London early 1982. This is probably the 2nd or 3rd show the original line-up of Patrick Leagas, Tony Wakeford and myself performed together but a search through my personal archives draws a blank as to exactly when this took place so, if anyone out there knows the actual date it would be greatly appreciated.
The reissue comes in a gatefold sleeve Softpak which is embossed, foil-blocked and includes many rare and unseen photos from the period - especially in the DVD photo gallery!
LAST FAREWELL

For the moment, and at least the foreseeable future, Death In June has performed its Last Farewell in the live arena. The last tour was the last tour.
There are lots of reasons why and I almost had a change of heart recently but,............
I'm 50 in 6 months time and there is much to do with DIJ and my Life inbetween now and then and beyond that needs the time that extensive touring around the World for the past umpteen years has deprived me of.
I'll miss meeting some very interesting people as most DIJ shows, particularly in the last few years, always had an atmosphere of Kameradschaft about them.

BEHIND THE MASK (DVD)
Forty feet beneath the surface, Darryl Hell's interview experiment with Douglas P. took place amongst the rumbles, hisses, and thunks of the belly of a New York City skyscraper...during a harsh January 2005 blizzard. This would be the first time Douglas would take part in this type of interview project.
Its flow replicates a meandering day-long conversation held between Douglas P. and Darryl Hell at Mindswerve Studio in 2004. Their many life experiences in 1970's, 1980's punk rock, made for a fertile ground. Hell's vision for the project was to give Douglas a chance to fully articulate himself without the boundaries of the traditional interview format. The result is a roller coaster ride through Douglas' life from childhood into the future.
